Already working in Canada? The Canadian Experience Class (CEC) offers a streamlined path to permanent residence based on your skilled Canadian work history — no job offer required.
The Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is one of three programs under the Express Entry system, designed for temporary workers and international graduates who have gained skilled Canadian work experience. It is one of the most accessible pathways to permanent residence for those already living and working in Canada.
To qualify, you need at least 12 months of full-time (or equivalent part-time) skilled work experience in Canada in a NOC TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3 occupation within the three years before applying. The work must have been performed with proper authorization. You must also meet language requirements and intend to reside outside Quebec. No educational credential is required, making CEC accessible to a wide range of applicants.
At least 12 months of skilled Canadian work experience (NOC TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3) within the 3 years prior to applying, performed with valid work authorization in Canada.
Minimum CLB 7 for NOC TEER 0 or 1 occupations; CLB 5 for NOC TEER 2 or 3. Higher language scores significantly boost your CRS ranking in the Express Entry pool.
Unlike the Federal Skilled Worker Program, CEC does not require a minimum level of education — your Canadian work experience is the core qualifying factor.
We confirm your Canadian NOC occupation code, validate that your experience meets the 12-month threshold, and ensure it was performed with proper authorization.
We advise on the right language test (IELTS, CELPIP, TEF, or TCF) and target score to meet CEC minimums and maximize your CRS points for the best draw results.
We build and submit your CEC Express Entry profile with precise occupation details, employment records, and supporting documentation — accurate on the first submission.
We identify opportunities to improve your Comprehensive Ranking System score — including job offers, provincial nominations, French language training, or sibling-in-Canada points.
Upon receiving your Invitation to Apply, we prepare and file your complete permanent residence application — every form, every document, within the 60-day deadline.

CEC applicants generally achieve strong CRS scores due to Canadian work experience advantages.
Understanding why applications are refused helps you avoid the same pitfalls. Our consultants review every detail before submission to minimize your risk.
All qualifying work experience under CEC must be obtained in Canada — foreign work history, however relevant, does not count.
Only experience in TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3 occupations qualifies. Work in TEER 4 or 5 roles does not meet CEC requirements.
The full-time equivalent of at least 1 year (1,560 hours) of skilled Canadian work experience is required within the 3 years before applying.
CEC requires CLB 7 for TEER 0/1 roles and CLB 5 for TEER 2/3 roles — all four abilities must meet the threshold.
Time spent working as a self-employed person in Canada is explicitly excluded from CEC qualifying experience.
If a profile expires before an ITA is received and a completed application is submitted, the entire process must restart.
